On August 8th, 2006, Joshua was indicted by an Ohio Grand Jury that officially charged him with 25-counts of offenses of "gross sexual imposition, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor.", according to United States Magistrate Judge, James S. Gallas. 

Judge Gallas further cited, "Clay subsequently pled guilty to an amended count one of gross sexual imposition, counts ten, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and count 13, pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor. The trial court sentenced Clay to ten years incarceration and classified him as a sexual predator.".

First of all, I apologize for this being so long. Trust me on this, I was speechless as I was researching this case. I have chronologically bullet-pointed the facts so that it's easy to digest. 

According to Judge Gallas' citation of the case facts and the appellate docket: 

1. In July 2003, Joshua began a sexual relationship with a 13 year old girl (K.B., Minor 1) when he was 19 years of age. 
2. November 2003, Joshua took nude photos and videos (media) of the minor (K.B., Minor 1) while they both were engaging in sexual activity. Joshua later posted the media on the internet. 
3. May 2004, local Police Detective Tulcewicz began investigating reports of sexual contact between K.B. and Joshua. 
4. On or around June 2004, Joshua was informed that K.B. was pregnant. Soon after, Joshua took the Minor 1 to South Carolina to have their marriage officiated. 
5. Shortly after their marriage, Joshua and K.B. returned to Ohio and they moved into his mothers basement. Around this time, Joshua took K.B. to have an abortion. According to Detective Tulcewicz, K.B. 'was held  basically hostage' in the basement of Joshua's mothers home. 
6. August 2005, Minor 1 - K.B. "escaped to Pennsylvania". A month later she was admitted to a hospital for psychological evaluations. 
7. Shortly after K.B. was released from the hospital, she contacted the local Police Department to report that Joshua had sexually, physically and mentally abused her. 
8. October 2005, the local Police were granted a search warrant for Joshua's residence. Police did recover compact discs that contained pornographic / sexual media of Joshua and K.B.
9. On or around the same time frame of the search warrant, Joshua traveled to Pennsylvania (PA) to locate K.B. During his time in PA, he met a 15 year old girl (S.C., Minor 2).
10. The Father of S.C. had explicitly told Joshua not to have any contact with his daughter. This was ignored and Joshua continued to text, call, and have sexual intercourse with S.C. 
11. On July 5, 2006, S.C's. father contacted Detective Tulcewicz and informed him that his daughter, S.C. is missing and believed she was with Joshua. 
12. Joshua had drove to PA on July 5, 2006, picked up S.C. without her parents knowledge, drove together to an Ohio hotel room and subsequently had sexual intercourse with S.C. 
13. On July 7, 2006, Detective Tulcewicz located both Joshua and S.C. at a Greyhound Bus station. Joshua had purchased S.C. a one way ticket to Las Vegas under an fake name. 
14. Nearly a month later, a Grand Jury indicted and released Joshua on bond. 
15. Around August 2006, investigators obtained a video of what Joshua called 'Late Night with Fapster', a recurring online show that he hosted. During the video in question, Joshua was heavily intoxicated and proceeded to masturbate live. Afterwards, he stated ‘I'll admit it. * * * I kidnapped the bitch, her name is Samantha,’ and ‘I f-ed her hard on this table.’ 
16. According to S.C.’s father, S.C. now goes to therapy every week and is on medication ‘so that she can cope.’ 
17. February 13, 2007, Joshua plead guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition, nine counts of unlawful conduct with a minor, and one count of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor. Subsequently, the court accepted his plea and sentenced Joshua to ten years in prison and classified him as a "Sexual Predator", pursuant to Ohio Law.
18. Appeal #1: April 24, 2007, Joshua appealed his conviction. He basically argued that his constitutional rights were violated because he didn't understand all of the charges against him and their details. Appeal was denied on March 27, 2008. 
19. Appeal #2: April 7, 2008, Joshua asked the Appeals Court to reconsider their decision. This was denied on April 21, 2008. 
20. Appeal #3: May 23, 2008, Joshua appealed his conviction with the Ohio Supreme Court, having the same argument as before. This was rejected due to no "substantial constitutional question". 
21. Appeal #4: January 29, 2009, Joshua filed an 'instant petition' to basically appeal his conviction based on his Constitutional Rights being violated. Specifically Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments. He tried to argue that sexual encounters occurred during their marriage, thus the court has no standing. Additionally, he argued again that he didn't fully understand the nature of the offenses prior to pleading guilty. Lastly, he argued that the sentencing Judge was biased and wasn't able to be impartial because the Judge voiced the following comment: ‘I will be very frank with you. I have gone back and forth as I have listened to you people as far as how much time you should get. I made it clear to both attorneys before we started that the total term of 23 years was absolutely not reasonable. * * * However, I also believe a minimum term is insufficient.’ 
22. Appeal #4: On August 14, 2009, Magistrate Judge, James Gallas recommended that the appeal be denied due to insufficient evidence of his rights being violated. This recommendation was confirmed on December 11, 2009, Judge Patricia A. Gaughan confirmed the recommendation of dismissing / rejecting Joshua's appeal. 
23. On December 7, 2012, Joshua filed for an early release from Prison which is called "Judicial Release". Basically if you have served your 'Mandatory Sentence' and you're able to adequately support your application for early release, a Judge may grant your request. 
24. On December 13, 2012, Joshua was granted early release by the presiding Judge. He was place on probation for a couple years, ordered to have no contact with the victims, and to register as a Sex Offender via that specific program. This is NOT an appeal of the conviction, nor is the conviction vacated or exonerated.
